As my maternity leave comes to an end, I reflect back and really missed my confinement time with Golden Moon. The care and service provided by the caretakers are very attentive and helpful.
As a second time mum, I enjoyed the confinement centre and got full rest and recovery with massages, nourishing meals, TCM soups and lactation consultations compared to confinement at home.
Price was very affordable as I got the family room with extra bed for my husband and toddler to stay. Only downside was toilet quite small but clean most importantly.
It’s a very low density centre so full attention and care can be given to mummy and baby. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for confinement centre in KL city centre.

Right from check-in, they closely monitor your baby’s jaundice levels based on advice from a pediatrician (just a heads-up, though: they don’t provide on-site phototherapy services). The babies are so well taken care of, and they are completely supportive whether you choose to breastfeed or formula feed.
They also do a great job of guiding first time mom. From feeding and baby massage to soothing techniques and bathing, they guide you through it all. They even share insights into your baby’s unique temperament based on their daily observations, which is amazing for helping you transition once you're back home. Seriously, just ask them anything—everyone is incredibly helpful.
As for the food, it's catered by an established confinement food provider and customized according to the specific stage of your recovery, so everyone’s daily meals might look a little different.
The overall vibe here is quiet, and the rooms are neat and tidy—nothing fancy, but it is comfy. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would probably be adding some privacy film to the windows.
Location-wise, it’s convenient right in the Pudu/KL city area, within walking distance to lalaport. The building itself isn't the most impressive, and the lift did go out of service once during my stay. Also, keep in mind they don't have designated parking, so you'll need to use the public DBKL lots around the area.

Their exceptional knowledge in baby care, passion for knowledge sharing, and hands-on guidance gave me so much confidence as a new parent. They were patient, caring, and always willing to teach and support whenever needed.

Their experience and dedication genuinely made a huge difference in my postpartum experience. Although the hair spa service was subpar, the outstanding care and support from these two nurses still made the overall experience worth a 5-star rating. 1. Room is big and perfect for family to stay together. Room and shared areas are clean too.
2. Nurses are experienced and provide ample care to baby and me. They are very friendly and always share their knowledge with me and guided me on how to take care my baby.

I highly recommend this confinement center.
After getting pregnant, I began researching and comparing many confinement centers. Each had its own strengths and weaknesses, but after careful consideration with my husband, we found this one to offer the most well-rounded care.

If your top priority is the health of your baby and yourself as a mother, this center provides exceptional support at a very reasonable price.

For the baby:
The center has a pediatrician and experienced caregivers who monitor and care for the newborns. As first-time parents, this level of attention to our baby’s health was incredibly reassuring.

For the mother:
There’s also a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctor who checks on each mother's postnatal recovery. In my case, a prolonged hospital stay after delivery led to some postpartum discomfort (“wind”), and the TCM doctor helped me recover through proper treatment and herbal therapy.

Ms. Lim, the person in charge, is exceptionally caring. Since I was in the hospital for several days, she made sure I received my confinement meals early, which my husband brought to me. When I developed postpartum wind, she adjusted my herbal soups and provided herbal powders for recovery—truly thoughtful care.

At one point, I had inflamed gums and couldn’t eat properly, and she coordinated with the kitchen to provide softer, easier-to-eat meals. These personal touches made such a difference.

Lactation massage:

I usually find confinement meals quite similar, but the food here suited my taste well. Ms. Lim tailored the meals to my needs—since I had gestational diabetes and had to continue monitoring my sugar levels post-delivery, she made sure the food matched my dietary requirements. That level of customization meant a lot.

The best part?
You get to rest completely. The kakaks handle your laundry, prepare clean clothes, and set up herbal bath water in the bathroom. Meals are delivered to your room daily, so you can truly relax.

I’m glad that we choose Golden Moon as my wife’s confinement center.

The Senior Branch Manager Ms Lim very friendly and responsive.

They open a WhatsApp group for us way before my wife delivery (ps my wife deliver on week37) and keep following up with us to see if we need any help.

After we checked in to the confinement center my wife need to accompany my son to admit to hospital for phototherapy, the nurses prepare everything the we needed and packed the food for my wife hence she can take her confinement meal although she is in hospital.

The Nurses and staff here all very friendly and lovely to our son. They also very patient to teach us how to take care our son. My son have prolong Jaundice and required to keep going to KK for follow up, nurses prepared all the necessaries for us to take to KK.

The room of Golden Moon is clean and tidy. Staff come in everyday to tidy up the room, bedsheet changed weekly.

About the food It was delicious and custom to my wife need as she can’t consume high GI food … the kitchen keep adapt to our feedback and try to fulfill our requirements. The portion of food really a lot.

Pead Dr come weekly to check my son condition and will give advice to us. Also there is TCM Dr weekly visit and will told my wife her condition and whether there is a need to change in meal. on the last visit she did tell my wife her condition and what need to do next after out from confinement center.

There is a massage room in Golden Moon. Our package only come with one massage session after my wife done with the first session we immediate opt to signup for more session for her remaining stay.

I would say my wife really had a good rest during her stay in Golden Moon.

About pricing I would say it is value for money 😊
The package we select papa can stay in , food wise no worry Pudu a lot of famous and delicious food and you can dapao for your wife as supper, groceries wise you can walk to Time Square inside got NSK or Lalaport inside got Jaya Grocer…. and a tips for papa who stay in and not driving to work (Monday - Friday remember pay parking between 10am-2pm as DBKL may come to open summon … if want cheaper there is open car park opposite Shaw Parade if not mistaken RM 5.30 per day but got to walk)

看了几家月子中心的我（第一胎也是在其他月子中心坐月子的我）直接就决定选择来Golden Moon了。

Best service with friendly staff/nurse here and delicious meal! 😝😝😝

Felt so comfort with thier hospitality. Staff / Nurses were very friendly and helpful. The food provided were great. Excellent services provided by thier TCM physician advisors & lactation specialist. I received ample care throughtout my stay, e.g. regular checks my vitals, general health condition and my baby's daily jaundice readings, feedings etc. I most impressed with the customised 28 days tonic soup based on personal consultation with TCM physician. Overall I had a great experience here & Thank you team for your care.

Had an awesome 2-month stay at @goldenmoonpostnatal ever since the new addition to our family has arrived. It was just like a long staycation with nurses helping u out and taking care of your newborn (whenever you're sleepy/taking a shower/busy on the phone, feel free to just pass ur bb to them) 👶
Thank you Golden Moon for the wonderful hospitality and professional nursing service for the past 2 months 💕
We will definitely come back again if we ever have another baby, and for daycare (and night) services as well 💙
