1. WHAT IS CONFINEMENT CENTRE?

A confinement center is a facility that provides care for postpartum women and their newborn babies. During confinement, new mothers are believed to be in a vulnerable state, and are encouraged to rest and recover. The confinement center provides support and assistance with tasks such as feeding, diaper changing, and bathing the baby, as well as preparing special meals and herbal remedies for the mother.

2. WHAT IS POSTNATAL CARE?

Postnatal care refers to the medical care and support given to a mother and her baby after childbirth. It includes a range of services, such as medical check-ups for the mother and baby, guidance on breastfeeding and baby care, and emotional support for the mother. Postnatal care is essential to ensure the health and well-being of both the mother and the baby.

3. WHY SHOULD NEW MOMS CONSIDER A CONFINEMENT CENTER? 

A confinement center provides new moms with a safe and comfortable environment to recover from childbirth, receive support and guidance on postpartum care, and have access to professional help with breastfeeding and infant care.

4. WHAT SERVICES DO CONFINEMENT CENTERS OFFER?

Confinement centers typically offer postnatal care, newborn care, nutritious meals, accommodation, and other support services. Postnatal care includes physical recovery, breast care, and emotional support for postpartum women. Newborn care includes feeding, bathing, changing diapers, and monitoring. Nutritious meals are customized for postpartum women to meet their nutritional needs. The accommodation environment in confinement centers is typically safe, clean, and comfortable, with 24-hour medical supervision.

5. DO I HAVE TO FOLLOW ALL THE TRADITIONAL RESTRICTIVE PRACTICES REGARDING CONFINEMENT CARE?

Golden Moon takes the core principles of truly useful traditional practices and adapts them to your modern lifestyle for your convenience. We will explain these core principles to all the mums in our Centre, and assist them in adapting to the essential practices with ease. You do ultimately have the final say.

6. WITH THE ONGOING COVID-19 SITUATION, SAFETY IS A CONCERN. IS IT SAFE IN YOUR CENTRE?

All visitors will need to wear a mask before entering our Confinement Centre . We will assist them with hand sanitisation and a temperature check, before issuing them a pair of clean hygienic footwear. This is to ensure peace of mind for every person in our Confinement Centre . We reserve the right to turn away visitors suspected of COVID-19.

7. WHAT ARE THE VISITING HOURS?

We understand that the working hours of close family members may vary. Therefore, we will assign an additional access card (on top of yours) to allow one close visitor 24-hour access to your private room. For general visitors, the visiting hours are 11.00am – 08.00pm daily. We do not encourage more than 2 visitors at any one time per room. To ease any potential overcrowding, we provide a spacious and comfortable waiting area for guests.

8. WHAT ARE THE SECURITY MEASURES OF YOUR CENTRE?

Every room has its own access card and built-in security system, along with an access-card-only lift access, 24-hour surveillance via CCTV and a security personnel.

9. IS IT RISKY THAT THERE WILL BE OTHER BABIES BESIDES MY CHILD IN THE CENTRE?

There will not be any contact among the babies. All our staff members are trained to always sanitise their hands prior to attending to each baby. Any baby who is not feeling well will be quarantined and cared for at a separate room.

10. HOW EARLY SHOULD I BOOK A ROOM AT YOUR CENTRE? WHAT IF I HAVE AN EARLY DELIVERY?

We urge you to secure your room as soon as possible so that you can focus on enjoying your pregnancy in peace. Whenever your delivery date may be, we guarantee you a room once your deposit is paid. Do keep us updated on your expected due date.

11. WHAT IF I HAVE CERTAIN DIETARY RESTRICTIONS / PREFERENCES?

We will cater to your dietary restrictions, as long as they do not compromise your rejuvenation. Please inform us early so that we can make the necessary arrangements. Our meals are freshly cooked, instead of going through a central kitchen. Hence, reasonable customisation is possible.

12. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

In the event that you need to cancel due to medical reasons (do provide a valid medical proof from a certified medical practitioner), we will refund the full deposit sum after deducting the 3% administrative fee.

13. WHAT IF I HAVE CERTAIN DIETARY RESTRICTIONS / PREFERENCES?

We will cater to your dietary restrictions, as long as they do not compromise your rejuvenation. Please inform us early so that we can make the necessary arrangements. Our meals are freshly cooked, instead of going through a central kitchen. Hence, reasonable customisation is possible.
